 EscaRosa Suicide Prevention Coalition is a passionate and dedicated group of professionals, organizations, and persons with lived experience who recognize the importance of suicide prevention in our community. We work to impact Escambia and Santa Rosa counties’ suicide rate by education, advocacy, and strategic interventions.


NATIONAL SAEE HAVEN ALLIANCE

The Safe Haven Laws allow a parent to anonymously surrender their unharmed infant to a designated Safe Haven provider within a specific time after birth. 


OPEN BOOKS & THE PRISON PROJECT

Open Books is a nonprofit, volunteer-run bookstore. Proceeds from the sale of books and donations support the Prison Book Project, operating since 2000.

Bright Bridge Ministry

An on-site volunteer assists applicants in qualifying and filling out documentation for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/food stamps).

Program that assists low and modest-income individuals who will be first generation college students either enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the first time or return to high school or post-secondary education. Must be 18 and older, and live in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties. All services are free.

Provides services for homeless women who are veterans; single and with families.


TRIO Upwards Bound

Program at Pensacola State College that helps prepare eligible veterans to enter and successfully complete college. Funding for TRiO VUB is provided by the U.S. Department of Education for 130 students and is free for qualified veterans.
